And I walk on.

Why can't you tell her you like her hair? If I see someone with a haircut that I like, I tell them so. It just might make their day! Wouldn't it make you feel good if someone, a stranger, told you they liked your hair?Di in Indianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10761150851298509720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2914943532407940217.post-91474780268260482032008-02-05T22:07:00.000-05:002008-02-05T22:07:00.000-05:00Jorgensen!Jorgensen!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18261676040987810279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2914943532407940217.post-18977706252370253312008-02-05T20:59:00.000-05:002008-02-05T20:59:00.000-05:00"Ahead of me is a lady who usually walks with a fr..."Ahead of me is a lady who usually walks with a friend, and I see them all the time, talking earnestly and continually, and always passing me, and I stare at them, because they rarely laugh or even smile, and I wonder, what the HECK do you talk about everyday that is so dang serious? Today this lady is by herself, very strange ..."

That's remarkable! You can't be talking about the Parkview Y, because you can't see into the spinning class from the track there. I use the Parkview Y every weekday morning from about 5:30 to 6:30, and I totally recognize those ladies you described above. They look nearly like twins -- same height, build and even haircut (pageboy type, if I'm not mistaken about what that is), and they talk nonstop, looking very serious and making a lot of hand gestures. They walk for a long time and they go pretty fast -- there are a few who go around them, but not many. And it's always the same one on the outside of the curve, so I guess she gets a bit more exercise than her friend.

I definitely don't hear what they're saying, though, because I'm usually listening to MP3s with my earbuds in my ears. Like almost everyone else there, that is. It's funny: you can talk to people and they're willing to talk back, but you always have to give them a few seconds to dig the phones out of their ears.Jim Wetzelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07358539074647113747noreply@blogger.com
